Tehran Symphony Orchestra is to perform German and Mexican pieces in Tehran.

Tehran Symphony Orchestra is to perform German and Mexican pieces in the Iranian capital city of Tehran.

Led by Iranian music maestro, Shahdad Rohani, Tehran Symphony Orchestra will perform the concert in Vahdat Hall on June 22.

Pieces by German composers Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) and Johannes Brahms (1833-1897) as well as a composition by Mexican composer Arturo Marquez will be performed by the orchestra.

Shahdad Rohani has led some prestigious orchestras in the world, including London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Rohani has also been the guest conductor for the Minnesota Orchestra, Colorado Symphony Orchestra, San Diego Symphony and the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestras.

Founded in 1933 as the Municipality Symphony Orchestra, the Tehran Symphony Orchestra is Iran's oldest and largest symphony orchestra.
